Chesapeake Bataan Death March Memorial Walk
The purpose of this annual event is to honor and remember all those who endured one of the most harrowing events in US and Filipino history. Our goal is to educate today's generation on the sacrifices of the greatest generation. All donations will be graciously accepted and used for the Chesapeake Bataan Death March as well as to support the VFW Post 2894's ongoing mission to serve veterans.
The event will take place at the Dismal Swamp in Chesapeake, VA.

1 mile family walk 11:00 AM
Closing Ceremony 12:00 PM

Memorial Day Wreath Laying Ceremony
Join us on Memorial Day as we come together to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. At our solemn wreath-laying ceremony, we will pay tribute to the fallen heroes who gave their lives defending our freedom. Together, let us pause to reflect, to honor, and to express our deepest gratitude for their selfless sacrifice. Please join us as we lay wreaths in their memory, ensuring that their legacy lives on in our hearts forever. Together, we honor, we remember, and we pledge never to forget.

Norfolk St. Patrick's Day Parade
The 59th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a fun filled Irish parade with all the marching bands, clowns, floats, cars, and people necessary to make up an exciting and enjoyable parade. Everyone is Irish both in and along the parade route. Please check the parade map to see the parade route. The parade is presented by Norfolk Parade, Inc.

Join the VA Center for Development and Civic Engagement for a Cake Cutting Ceremony from 12:30p.m. to 1:30p.m.
