The Marine Corps League John A. Lejeune Detachment 332 proudly celebrated the 250th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps at the Delta Hotels Norfolk Airport on November 8, 2025.
Marines and guests honored our traditions with the cake-cutting ceremony, the reading of General Lejeune’s message, and a highly motivated birthday video message from our Commandant, General E. Smith. Our guest speaker, USMC Lt. Col. Ivan Ingraham (Ret.), delivered an outstanding and inspiring address.
After the formal ceremony, Detachment Commandant David Bozak led the birthday toast, and Marine Lee Sage kicked off the festivities by announcing the winners of our three-prize raffle. During the evening, the 2024 Marine of the Year and Detachment Judge Advocate Thomas Coursey stood alongside prior recipients to announce the 2025–2026 Marine of the Year. Congratulations to Detachment Commandant David Bozak on this well-earned honor!
Guests and Marines filled the dance floor as Mr. Eddie Sal provided music and entertainment throughout the night. Every memorable moment was captured beautifully by our photographer, Mr. Henry McCoy.
It was an unforgettable evening, filled with brotherhood, pride, and true Esprit de Corps.
